The design and the first look at the Spice Stellar Pad MI-1010 give the impression that it is an iPad. But the 16:9 widescreen spells out the truth. The large screen, the display, and the design have priced the Spice gadget at Rs. 12,599. It is one of the best bets to own a tab that costs less than Rs. 15,000.
The Spice Stellar has a 10-inch HD LCD display and comes with a resolution of 1280 X 800. The tab is built with an aspect ratio of 16:9 as mentioned above. One of the features of the display is that it permits 10-point multi-touch. This is required for playing games for multi-finger input. The colors come to life and the pictures look vivacious.
The Design and the Built:
Spice has got the Stellar Pad a great design. With curved edges give the device a rich look. It has a matte-finish silver metal back panel. Due to the rounded edges, it is easy to hold the gadget in one hand and work with the other. The angles at the edges make a great viewing experience.
Dual-core 1.5GHz processor and a MALI-400 GPU power the Spice Stellar Pad MI-1010. The dual-core processor can help run programs smoothly along with the power of the GPU to go with.
RAM & OS:
The spice gadget comes loaded with 1GB RAM. This is a standard RAM for such gadgets in this category that have 1.5 GHz processors. The device runs on Android Jelly Bean v 4.1.1.
The Spice device has a built-in memory of 16 GB. That should be sufficient as 16GB of data can hold loads of images and video clips. However, with the MicroSD card, it can be increased up to 32GB.
The tablet fairs so-so when it comes to the camera, though it has two of them. The rear camera is 3MP, while the front one is just 0.3MP. So, not much should be expected of the tab camera, though the rear 3MP camera can come in handy at times.
