The Samsung Galaxy S5 with the iris-scanning feature may see a launch in the month of April. There have been loads of speculations about the Samsung Galaxy S5 with much anticipation. Lee Young-hee, who is the mobile executive VP, spoke about the plans of the company regarding the flagship Smartphone.
There are also some developments about the Galaxy Gear and the Galaxy Note. Lee Young-hee said that the company announces their first flagship variant in the first half of the year, which takes place sometime in the month of March or April.
Samsung will also be launching the S5 gadget and the successor of the Gear will also be on the way soon. The successor will have more features and will be more advanced, apart from having a beautiful sleek design, Lee Young-hee said.
As a matter of fact, the launch of the Galaxy Gear along with the Galaxy S5 was talked about to materialize in November last year. Dong-hoon Chang, who is the Vice President of Design Team of Samsung Electronics, came up with a statement saying that the launch of the S5 during the MWC 2014 was just about right.
This means the launch would materialize as early as February this year. The unveiling during the MWC next month looks a possibility if the above statement is anything to go by.
As far as the iris scanning feature is concerned, Lee Young-hee confirmed the same. The technology incorporated in the Galaxy S5 will compete with Apple’s Touch ID – the fingerprint-scanning biometric authentication feature.
