With just four days to go for one of the largest tech gadgets events of the year, a number of rumours are surfacing regarding the upcoming Samsung devices. A lot of fans are eagerly waiting for the release of Samsung Galaxy S8.

MWC’ 2017 Is Just a Few Days Away

It is a known fact that the Samsung Galaxy S8 flagship will be featured at the upcoming event on a later date. However, with the Mobile World Congress just a few days, more rumours are surfacing with regards the Samsung Galaxy S8.

What is this “Dex Dock”?

The latest leaks about the Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone reveal that the South Korean tech giant is planning to bring a Microsoft Continuum like feature called “DeX Dock”. The company has reportedly updated its help page regarding the DeX Dock. Reports reveal that the feature will allow users to connect to their desktops/laptops via HDMI and project the mobile’s UI on the monitor.

Microsoft Continuum Like Feature For Samsung Galaxy S8

This feature can already be seen in Microsoft Continuum for Windows 10 smartphones. However, this is the first time that an Android device will bring such a feature for its smartphones. Users can connect their Galaxy S8 smartphone to desktops and other peripherals and view their phone’s screen up on the monitor.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Specs and Features

Earlier leaks and rumours about the upcoming flagship device also suggest that there will neither be a home button nor the usual 3.5mm audio jack in Galaxy S8. Also, the fingerprint scanner for the device is said to be on the rear side. The bezels are going to be super-thin with maximum space for the display in the front. The device will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 processor shipping a maximum of 6GB of RAM and 128 GB of built-in storage.

However, if there is indeed going to be a smart dock, customers may have to be prepared to pay a hefty price for it.
