Samsung has launched the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids. And as the name suggests, the tab is specially designed for kids. As the tab is for kids, it will naturally have fun and educational apps exclusively targeting the kids. All these apps are pre-loaded.
As if that wasn’t enough, there will also be a Kid’s Store. The tab is a 7-inch device that comes with a pixel resolution of 1024 X 600 pixels. A powerful 1.2GHz dual-core processor powers the tablet.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The tab comes with two cameras, which promises to be total fun for the kids. The rear camera is 3.2MP while the front end camera is 1.3MP. The tab is built with 1GB of RAM.
There is 8GB of internal storage capacity for the tab. This can be increased with the help of a MicroSD card up to 32GB. A 4000mAh battery powers the gadget, which is excellent and sufficient given that it is designed for the kids.
There is a Time Management feature in the Galaxy Tab 3 Kids. The feature keeps a check on the use of the tablet by a kid. This means the device will remain in an active state as long as the time has been specified. After the time runs out, a lock screen will appear that is protected by a password.
At this stage, the kid will need an adult to unlock the screen if the gadget needs to be used further. Without the help of anyone else, the kids cannot use the tab. This feature is used so that the children do not remain glued to the device all day long.
There is also a case that comes with several stand options. It is bundled with easy-to-grip C pen. South Korea will be the first place where the tab will be launched in September. Other markets in the world will presently get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids.
The guesswork for the price of the tablet, however, continues.
