Twitter has launched Android tablet app for Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 and in the initial days will be just for the Samsung device. The app has now been officially launched after it played hide and seek during the recent event held by Samsung.
As of now, the app has been optimized only for Galaxy Note 10.1 2014. However, it is only a matter of a few days. The app will soon have support for various Android tablets as the year draws to an end.
The iOS app from Twitter is built for iPad, the Android version of the app has the identical interface for phones as well as tablets. The landscape view of the application has tweets, trends and conversations to offer. And yes, there are more features on the way.
Once the tweets are expanded, you can view photos or article previews to the right of the screen by tapping. After extra tapping, you will be able to view photos, read links and play videos in full screen.
The new Twitter app comes with widget that can display photos and tweets. You can also view country-specific breaking news, sports or music. The widget also allows the users to re-tweet right from where you are – from the widget itself.
A number of Android apps are built mainly for Smartphones. So, this certainly seems a tad odd to know that a major service like Twitter has just one Android Smartphone to offer its services to. However, this is not the first such instance. An app like Flipboard was the first to make an appearance on Samsung Android devices.
