Xiaomi has finally made it official to launch Xiaomi Mi 8 on May 31. The company clarified the reason behind naming its next flagship gadget as Mi 8, and not Mi 7.

Xiaomi confirmed that it would introduce Xiaomi Mi 8 by the end of this month. So, yes, after the successful launch of Mi 6X, the company is all geared up to launch its Mi 8 smartphone. It mentioned that Xiaomi Mi 8 would also represent its 8th anniversary, and further, the numeric digit, matching the last digit of this year, will make it easier for users to get quicker search results.
The revealed pictures and videos of this beauty give us a hint that it will have an amazing display designed just like iPhone X. It may also have a unique 3D facial identification characteristic that no other Android phone had till date.
RAM and internal storage
The two versions of Xiaomi Mi 8 will sport 6GB and 8GB RAM accompanied with 64GB and 128GB internal memory storage.
The price of the model with 64GB internal data and 6GB RAM is rumored to be around $438, while the other model will cost around $500.
Display and camera
The smartphone will have an exceptional OLED display of 6.01 inches coupled with an under-glass fingerprint scanner, that was earlier said to be in Mi 7. Its AI camera will run on Android 8.1 Oreo accompanied with MIUI 10 and will further have 2x optical zoom feature.
The smartphone is rumored to offer its users an additional privilege for wireless charging.
